Resistance 3's Cool Logo-free Reversible Cover

Set to be released on September 6th, Resistance 3, Insomniac Games's Resistance 3 get a cool reversible cover just so that you can have a good, logo-free look at the amazing box art of British artist Olly Moss.

We have earlier covered on the unveiling of the official box art of Insomniac Games' PlayStation 3 shooter Resistance 3, featuring the work of one of our favorite graphic wizard, British artist Olly Moss. In typical Moss form, the box art certainly didn't disappoint, giving us one of the sleekest and best video game box art in recent memory, so much so that the trailer recently released at Gamescom were molded in the graphic style of Moss's work. Nevertheless, we were quite perturbed by the numerous logos all over the places on the box.

And now, in a much-welcome move for those with an eye for cool graphics, Sony and Insomniac Games have announced that they will be offering a "clean/logo-free inlay/reversible cover" on Insomniac Games's Twitter account.

The clean/logo-free inlay/reversible cover you'll find when you open Resistance 3 on 9/6!!! #fb http://yfrog.com/18vpzdj

Rage & Rage HD go Free for a Week (Ending Later Today)

Feel the Rage for free!

Thanks to a successful promotional campaign, Id Software's Rage and Rage HD is now available for free (until 959am, EST today).

As mentioned in our earlier entry, Id Software kicked off with a campaign to get 100,000 people to "like" Rage on Facebook, of which upon the campaign's success, both Rage and Rage HD would be made available for free on the iTunes Store for a week. We knew it is a matter of time before the target but was caught off guard that it happened much earlier than we thought. The target was met on August 17th and today is the last day of the offer.

While the original console and PC version of Rage is a First-Person-Shooter, the iOS version is an on-rail shooter that is incredible intense but unfortunately short (the three levels in the game can be completed in thirty minutes). For the uninformed, the difference between both Rage and Rage HD is the HD function that are "optimally viewed on a 4th generation device or an iPad." So if you happened to have the luxury of nearly 800 mb of free space in your iPhone, do check out the HD version.

So pick up one or both while they're free.

Our apologies for the late heads up but nonetheless, if you have not had your hands on both Rage and Rage HD, do pick them up (one of both) while they are free.
